The Challenge

As a company with a diverse digital footprint, The Scan Group faced several challenges across its portfolio of websites. The main company site was on an outdated WordPress platform needing a full migration. Furthermore, there was a consistent need for new feature implementation, ongoing maintenance, and analytics optimization across all web properties to ensure performance and reliability.

My Solution

In my role as Lead Developer, I addressed these multifaceted challenges with a range of solutions across their digital ecosystem:

• I led the complete migration of the main company website from WordPress to a modern, scalable Laravel application.
• I was responsible for implementing new features for stakeholders across various websites built in both Laravel and WordPress.
• A major project involved successfully upgrading their legacy e-commerce site from Four51 Storefront to the modern Four51 Storefront 2.0 using Angular.
• I handled ongoing infrastructure tasks, such as updating SSL certificates for multiple domains, and managed content on their Digital Asset Management (DAM) sites.
• I rectified issues with Matomo analytics to optimize data tracking and analysis across all company sites.

The Results

My work resulted in a more cohesive, secure, and high-performance web ecosystem for the entire company. The successful migration provided a robust platform for the main site, while the e-commerce upgrade modernized a critical business tool. The ongoing feature development and maintenance ensured all web properties remained effective, reliable, and aligned with stakeholder needs.
